- Thus says Jehovah: Observe justice and perform righteousness, for my salvation will soon come when my righteousness is revealed.
エホバはこのように言われる。「公正を守り、義を行いなさい。わたしの義が現されるときわたしの救いがすぐに来るからである。 - Blessed is the man who does so – the person who holds fast to them – who keeps the Sabbath without profaning it, who stays his hand from doing any evil.
そのように行う人は幸いである。それらを固く保つ人、すなわち安息日を守って、これを汚すことのない人、その手がいかなる悪も行わない人は幸いである。」 - Let not the foreigner who adheres to Jehovah say, Jehovah will surely exclude me from his people. And let not the eunuch say, I am but a barren tree.

また、エホバに固く付き従い、主に仕え、エホバの名を愛して主の僕となる異国人、すなわち安息日を守って、これを汚すことなく、わたしの契約を固く守るすべての者、 - these I will bring to my holy mountain and gladden in my house of prayer. Their offerings and sacrifices shall be accepted on my altar, for my house shall be known as a house of prayer for all nations.
これらの者をわたしは聖なる山に連れ来て、わたしの祈りの家で喜ばせよう。彼らの燔祭のささげ物と犠牲はわたしの聖壇の上で受け入れられるであろう。わたしの家はすべての国民のための祈りの家として知られるからである。」 - Thus says my Lord Jehovah, who gathers up the outcasts of Israel: I will gather others to those already gathered.

野のすべての獣よ、森の動物よ、来て食べるがよい。 - Their watchmen are altogether blind and unaware; all of them are but dumb watchdogs unable to bark, lolling seers fond of slumber.
彼らの見張り人は皆、目が見えず、気づきもしない。彼らは皆、ほえることができず口も利けない犬にすぎない。まどろみを好む、のんびりした先見者だ。 - Gluttonous dogs, and insatiable, such indeed are insensible shepherds. They are all diverted to their own way, every one after his own advantage.
貪欲な犬どもで、飽くことを知らない。そのような者は実のところ、無頓着な羊飼いだ。彼らは皆、おのれの道へそれて行き、おのおのが自分の利を追い求める。 - Come, they say, let us get wine and have our fill of liquor. For tomorrow will be like today, only far better!
彼らは言う。「さあ、ぶどう酒を手に入れて、濃い酒をたらふく飲もう。明日も今日のようだろうし、はるかによくなるに違いない。」
