聖句

1. Awake, arise; clothe yourself with power, O Zion! Put on your robes of glory, O Jerusalem, holy city. No more shall the uncircumcised and defiled enter you.
   目覚めよ、立ち上がれ。シオンよ、力をまとえ。聖なる都エルサレムよ 、栄光の衣を身に着けよ。割礼のない者と汚れた者があなたの中に入ることはもはやない。
2. Shake yourself free, rise from the dust; sit enthroned, O Jerusalem. Loose yourself from the bands around your neck, O captive Daughter of Zion.
   ちりを振り落とし、ちりの中から立ち上がれ。エルサレムよ、座して王位に就け。捕らわれたシオンの娘よ、あなたの首に巻かれた縄から自身を解き放て。
3. Thus says Jehovah: You were sold without price, and you shall be redeemed without money.
   エホバはこのように言われる。「あなたは代価なく売られた。そして、金を払わずに贖われる。」
4. For thus says my Lord Jehovah: At first my people went down to Egypt to sojourn there. Then the Assyrians subjected them for nothing.
   わたしの主なるエホバはこのように言われるからである。「最初にわたしの民はエジプトへ下って行き、そこに寄留した。その後、アッシリア人がいわれなく彼らを支配した。」
5. And now, what have I here? says Jehovah. My people are taken over without price; those who govern them aact presumptuously,a says Jehovah, and my name is constantly abused all the day.
   そして今、エホバは言われる。「これは何事だ。わたしの民は代価なく連れて行かれた。彼らを治める者たちは、a横柄に振る舞い[5「侮る」の意でもある。のとおり。「嘆き悲しむ」。]、わたしの名は終日絶えず侮られている。」
6. Therefore shall my people come to know my name; in that day they shall know that I, who speak, am at hand.
   それゆえ、わたしの民はわたしの名を知るようになる。その日、語っているわたしがすぐそばにいることを彼らは知るようになる。
7. Then shall they say, How comely upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger announcing peace, who brings tidings of good, who heralds salvation, saying to Zion, Your God reigns!
   そのとき彼らは言う。『平和を告げ知らせる使者、よきおとずれをもたらし、救いの到来を告げて、シオンに向かって「あなたの神が統治される」と言う者の足は、山々の上において何と麗しいことか。』」
8. Hark! Your watchmen lift up their voice; as one they cry out for joy: for they shall see eye to eye when Jehovah returns to Zion.
   聞け。あなたがたの見張り人たちは声を上げる。彼らは喜びのあまり、一つとなって大声で叫ぶ。エホバがシオンに再び戻られるとき、彼らは思いを一つにするからである[翻訳チェック]。
9. Break out all together into song, you ruined places of Jerusalem: Jehovah has comforted his people; he has redeemed Jerusalem.
   皆こぞって声を上げ、歌い出すがよい、　あなたがたエルサレムの荒れ廃れた所よ。エホバは御自分の民を慰められた。主はエルサレムを贖われた。
10. b Jehovah has bared his holy arm in the eyes of all nations, that all ends of the earth may see our God’s salvation.
    [10節の入れ替え。本文では順番が間違っていると思われる。] エホバはその聖なる腕をすべての国民の目にあらわにされた。地の果てに至るすべての人が、わたしたちの神の救いを目にするように。　
11. Turn away, depart; touch nothing defiled as you leave Babylon.c Come out of her and be pure, you who bear Jehovah’s vessels.
    背を向け、立ち去るがよい。バビロン[11ヘブライ語「そこ」。]を去るときに、汚れたものに触れてはならない。そこから出て行き、清くあれよ、あなたがた、エホバの器を担う者たちよ。
12. But you shall not leave in haste or go in flight: Jehovah will go before you, the God of Israel behind you.
    しかし、あなたがたは急いで出て行くには及ばず、また逃げて行くにも及ばない。エホバがあなたがたの前を行き、イスラエルの神があなたがたのしんがりとなられるからである。
13. My servant, being astute, shall be highly exalted; he shall become exceedingly eminent:
    「わたしの僕は機敏な者であって、大いに高く上げられる。彼はきわめて名高い者となる。
14. just as hed appalled many – his appearance was marred beyond human likeness, his semblance unlike that of men –
    彼[14ヘブライ語「あなた」。]が多くの人を驚愕させたように、彼の外見は人の様を超えるほどに損なわれ、彼の姿形は人のようではなかった。
15. So shall he yet astounde many nations, kings shutting their mouths at him- what was not told them, they shall see; what they had not heard, they shall consider.
